XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon Schedule Update
The “CONNECT Hackathon,” created by the XueDAO community of university students in Taiwan, is currently in full swing! As more information about the event’s tracks is being revealed, there have been significant updates regarding the schedule, location, and planning. Participants who have already registered for the hackathon are advised to pay close attention to the latest updates on the CONNECT Hackathon homepage. Updated Event Schedule:
1. We Learn (5/23 – 6/16): This is a workshop phase of the hackathon where participants can engage in practical sessions on Solidity and frontend development. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet potential team members.
2. We CONNECT (6/15-6/27): This phase focuses on independent workshops related to the hackathon tracks. Participants will have the chance to gain in-depth knowledge about the practical applications of their chosen track, the judging criteria, and also get to know the project organizers.
3. Let’s Sprint (06/28-06/29): This two-day development sprint camp provides participants with a venue, meals, and mentorship to work on their projects and prepare their pitches. Mentors will be available to assist at all times.
4. Rock up Demo Day (06/30): On this day, participating teams will have the opportunity to present their projects on stage and showcase their work. The winners will be announced within two weeks after the event.

CONNECT Workshops in Full Swing
So far, the XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon has received registrations from students all over the world, demonstrating their enthusiasm for blockchain hackathons. Moreover, the Solidity Workshops have been successfully held, combining in-person and online sessions to guide students on how to write smart contracts and embody the spirit of “Taiwanese Students Really Can BUIDL.” Students who want to review the workshop content can watch the recordings on YouTube via the provided link. Students who haven’t registered yet can still participate in the upcoming DApp frontend workshops and track-specific workshops. These workshops not only offer rich practical knowledge but also provide opportunities to meet like-minded teammates, connect with project organizers, and enjoy snacks and beverages prepared by XueDAO.

A Quick Overview of the Five Hackathon Tracks | Total Prize Pool of Nearly 300,000 NTD, Exclusive Internship Opportunities, and Participation in Global Hackathons
For participants who have registered for the hackathon but haven’t decided which track to choose, here is a brief explanation to help you select the most suitable Bounty Track. If the track requirements are met, participants can also submit to multiple tracks. For more detailed information, please refer to the CONNECT Hackathon Notion page.
1. SUI-3K: This track focuses on creating applications or tools that integrate with Sui Network. Participants who demonstrate innovation on the mainnet, testnet, or development network, and integrate Sui’s unique technologies such as zkLogin, Kiosk, Closed-Loop Token, Display, Transfer to Object, Programmable Transaction Block, or DeepBook will receive additional points.
2. Olympic (Powered by Zeus)-2K: In addition to the main hackathon, this track offers a creative ideation competition where students can BUILD together without the need for programming. Winning teams not only receive generous prizes but also have the opportunity to interview for internships at Zeus Network.
3. Olympic Hackathon: This track has no specific theme and welcomes all student participants who have a passion for hackathons. For teams lacking concrete ideas, popular themes such as Consumer Apps, Gaming, DeFi & Payments, DAOs & Communities, Infrastructure, and DePIN can be considered. Bonus points will be given for projects built on Solana.
4. Olympic Ideathon (No programming required): With the ultimate goal of assisting Solana as a full-chain layer 2, Zeus Network seeks innovative ideas that will contribute to the growth of the Zeus ecosystem, attracting users from both the Bitcoin and Solana ecosystems.
5. Blockchain For Good Alliance (BGA) +Aptos-2K: BGA draws inspiration from the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals and aims to reward innovative projects that utilize blockchain technology to address global key issues. This hackathon, BGA focuses on five main themes: Security and Transparency, Life and Health, Sustainable Development, Global Education Development, and Reducing Inequality. Preferred teams will not only receive prize money but also have the opportunity to win full sponsorship for flights and accommodation to attend the BGA Global Final Hackathon in Dubai by December 2024.
Zircuit – 1500 USDC: This track is searching for projects with the potential to bring liquidity from other chains, L2 public goods (such as DAO tools and donations), projects that provide a Web2-like user experience, projects related to account abstraction, projects using ZK, and projects that are technologically innovative and interesting.
ETH Taipei – 500 USDC: This track is focused on the EVM / ETH ecosystem, including projects related to tooling development. All relevant projects are eligible for participation.
XueDAO has gathered a substantial prize pool and various opportunities such as internships and international sponsorships. This is the first blockchain hackathon exclusively for students, aiming to attract students from all over Taiwan to showcase their skills.
Regardless of your background or development experience, as long as you are a current student or a graduate within the past two years and have a curious interest in blockchain technology and a desire to try building related products, you are welcome to participate in the XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon. XueDAO will assist with all aspects of participation, including team formation, choosing a track, and project ideation. Let’s show the world that Taiwanese Students Can BUILD!
