AI Talent Wave! What are the related job opportunities?
OpenAI recently released their latest GPT-4o model, which is capable of engaging in realistic human-machine conversations, providing instant responses, and delivering natural language with a fusion of text and images. This marks another advancement in the development of AI technology.
The AI era is now upon us! As we approach the graduation season this year, taking a comprehensive look at the current job market, there are already 9,731 job openings related to “AI” keyword on 104 Job Bank. Assuming an average demand of 2.5 people per job opening, there are already over 24,000 AI-related job opportunities available. If we narrow down the keyword to “ChatGPT,” there are around 320 job openings, which translates to approximately 800 jobs.
Chang Pao-ling, the Chief Marketing Officer of 104 Job Bank, pointed out that AI-related jobs encompass a wide range of types, with the highest technical requirements typically found in the development field. Examples include Prompt Engineers (AI ChatGPT prompt engineers), data scientists, AI engineers, algorithm engineers, full-stack engineers, backend software engineers, and more. The monthly salary can reach up to NT$60,000, and managerial positions can go up to NT$120,000 to NT$150,000, indicating a strong demand for talent.
On the business side, there are more roles focused on “product application optimization,” such as AI application project managers. These positions exist in various fields, including e-commerce, retail, media, news, pets, and F&B industries. The salary range for these positions is between NT$50,000 to NT$90,000.
In terms of content creation, positions like creative digital directors utilize ChatGPT’s generative capabilities in magazine media to produce large-scale project videos and more. These roles can assist industries in their digital transformation, with salaries usually negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Currently, due to the scarcity of talent in the market, most of these job openings do not have strict experience requirements, and companies are also recruiting interns from universities and master’s or doctoral programs to prepare for talent needs in advance.
Chang Pao-ling also observed that as graduation season approaches, AI and ChatGPT have become valuable tools for job seekers. Being able to use AI software like ChatGPT often gives applicants an extra advantage, but it is still essential to evaluate the quality of the results. Simply copying and pasting information may not effectively highlight an individual’s knowledge and value.
