More than 100 students have signed up and witnessed the powerful development energy at XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon held from June 28th to June 30th. During this period, XueDAO CONNECT Hackathon successfully attracted over 110 students to sign up, with a total of 25 project registrations, competing for over NT$350,000 in hackathon prizes, selected internships, and full subsidies to participate in international hackathons.
The XueDAO team also selected 15 outstanding teams to present on Demo Day. These teams lived up to expectations and passionately showcased their creative works, technical skills, and presentation abilities developed within the limited time frame, bringing forth a variety of interesting ideas and projects.

Demo-day Panel Discussion: Why Hackathon for Students & Developers in Web3
Before the team presentations, XueDAO arranged a panel discussion on “Why Hackathon for Students & Developers in Web3”. Four renowned blockchain experts and developers, including Steven (Scallop), Martinet (Zircuit), Jim (Zeus), and Eric (Cathay Financial Holdings), shared their insights on participating in Web3 hackathons and delved into how hackathons provide a platform for students and developers to innovate, experiment, and learn, fostering their growth in the Web3 field.
In addition, participating in hackathons provides valuable networking opportunities for participants to interact with other developers and improve their technical skills. Therefore, the speakers encouraged students to actively participate and even challenge themselves on the international stage.
Wonderful Presentations by Student Teams:
On Demo Day, 15 student teams from all over Taiwan took the stage to showcase their creativity and technical expertise. These teams covered various blockchain applications, including data verification platforms, teams addressing the issue of temporary teachers, whistleblower reporting platforms, privacy protection applications, and real estate investment, among others. Their presentations demonstrated how blockchain technology can be innovatively applied in education, media, privacy protection, finance, and other fields.
These student teams not only showcased a high level of professionalism in their technical skills but also brought forth many amazing ideas in terms of creativity and implementation. The audience and judges highly appreciated their presentations and look forward to the continued development of these innovative projects in the future. Each team’s presentation was full of enthusiasm and motivation, fully demonstrating the potential and strength of Taiwanese students in the blockchain field.
After Party Panel Discussion: Blockchain for Good – Rebuilding Transparency and Trust
Lastly, during the After Party before the event concluded, XueDAO arranged a lecture on the theme of the Blockchain For Good Alliance (BGA) – discussing “Blockchain Education and Philanthropy: Rebuilding Transparency and Trust”. The speakers included Allan (BGA & MoleDAO), Noah (Da0), Xu Ming’en (Blocktrend), and Jacky (BuZhiDAO).
BGA is an organization dedicated to promoting the social impact of blockchain technology. This roundtable discussion focused on exploring the innovative applications of blockchain technology in the fields of education and philanthropy, as well as how to use these technologies to rebuild information transparency and trust between individuals.
Reaffirmation of the GLHF International Hackathon Student Scholarship Program
During Demo Day, Jacky personally explained the new GLHF – Global Learning Hackathon Fund, a collaboration between major blockchain and education experts and XueDAO. This program fully sponsors students to participate in international hackathons abroad and provides mentorship.
This program opened for registration on June 28th, with the first round of submissions ending on July 9th. Physical workshops will be arranged for final selection on July 13th, and the list of selected participants and alternates will be announced on July 15th. Accepted students will participate in the ETH Tokyo Hackathon from August 23rd to 26th, as well as the Dev Con ETH Global Hackathon (Bangkok) from November 15th to 17th.
