AI TAIWAN Future Business Expo 2024
Co-organized by “Business Next” and the Department of Digital Development of the Digital Industry Bureau, as well as TCA, the “AI TAIWAN Future Business Expo” this year is themed “AI DRIVING NEW BUSINESS.” It kicked off on July 27th, showcasing over 250 top companies and solution providers to demonstrate the unlimited possibilities and application scenarios of AI. The event attracted over 10,000 attendees, with the Vice President of the Republic of China, Lai Ching-te, also attending to demonstrate the government’s emphasis on industrial AI transformation and highlight the future vision of “AI as national strength.”
6 main theme pavilions × 10 key technologies, experiencing AI life everywhere
Despite being affected by Typhoon Cempaka, the originally planned three-day exhibition was forced to only be held for one day. However, all exhibitors made full use of this one day. This year’s AI TAIWAN Future Business Expo not only planned 10 key technology exhibition areas including Gen AI model deployment, AI smart devices, cloud and cybersecurity, sustainability and zero carbon, Web 3.0, and blockchain, but also created 6 main theme pavilions to allow attendees to experience the omnipresence of AI. These pavilions include Future AI Pavilion, AI Life Pavilion, AI Audiovisual Laboratory, New Business School, Sustainable Manufacturing Institute, and WEB3+ Lounge, showcasing the application of AI in different fields.
Vice President Lai Ching-te, during her visit to the booths, exclaimed that AI development not only amazed people but also made them truly feel that from technological capabilities to implementation, it has gradually permeated into people’s lives. She expressed even more anticipation for future developments.

In the “AI Alliance Pavilion,” Taiwan Zhiyun integrated various open-source large language models and the down-to-earth FFM Chinese enhanced large model series to create Taiwan’s first enterprise-level enhanced Chinese language model, demonstrating technological capabilities. In addition, AMD also demonstrated AI PC server performance and powerful computing capabilities on-site, making it easier for attendees to understand how AI will enhance work efficiency. In the “Future AI Pavilion,” Vice President Lai Ching-te also personally experienced the enthusiasm and innovation of startup teams in AI implementation and development.
The “AI Virtual Human Intelligent Service Platform” created by Aifei’s dog combines the ChatGPT generative language model technology to launch an AI smart customer service application developed using vector retrieval architecture. Bory Medical, specializing in medical imaging and molecular medical analysis, utilizes an exclusive AI module for “AI Osteoporosis X-ray Screening” to quickly provide bone density risk reports by analyzing X-ray images.

Finally, Vice President Lai Ching-te also experienced a new lifestyle in the “AI Future Life Pavilion.” Including smart restaurants, smart cafes, and even future daily AI technology applications depicted by SHARP ✕ iDrip Smart Coffee Machine, Logitech’s AI Smart Conference Video Equipment, Yixin Digital Service’s Smart Ordering Machine, and Yo-Kai Express Smart Ramen Machine, all of which make Vice President Lai Ching-te anticipate not only the industrialization of AI but also the life-oriented AI, which is the key to initiating a more intelligent and better life for humanity.

Innovative Business Awards Revealed, Finance, Medical, and Retail Leading the Way
The highlight of the annual AI TAIWAN Future Business Expo is the Innovative Business Awards, which announced its winners on the 27th. To encourage new technology applications, creativity, and business integration, and to discover innovative business models that focus on consumers, grasp the characteristics of communities, and use interactive technology, “Business Next” has been organizing the Innovative Business Awards for ten consecutive years. By recognizing outstanding enterprises, sharing experiences, and exchanging insights, it allows more opportunities for Taiwan’s industries to upgrade.
This year, 213 companies entered the competition, and with the surge of generative AI at this moment, AI innovation applications have a more diverse and rich perspective. The grand prize jury awarded the “Carrefour Express Smart Recipe” by Carrefour Co., Ltd., the “GDP Group Data Sharing Platform and Group Data Sharing Project” by Cathay Financial Holdings Co., Ltd., and the “Lien Hsin Stroke Region Joint AI Remote Referral Platform” by Lien Hsin International Hospital (Neurology Medical Center).

The Best Management Innovation Award was also won by Lien Hsin International Hospital (Neurology Medical Center) for its product, the Lien Hsin Stroke Region Joint AI Remote Referral Platform. Carrefour Co., Ltd. also won the Best Experience Innovation Award for its Carrefour Express Smart Recipe product.
As for the Best Business Model Innovation Award, it was given to HeyCloud Mobile Services Co., Ltd. for its iRent Shared Car Platform Service; the Best Product Innovation Award went to InterSmart Co., Ltd. for its creation of the Quick Check AI Ad Violation Risk Assessment Platform. The Best Technology Innovation Award was awarded to Cathay Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. for its Ripple Financial Intelligence Network service. During her speech, CEO Chen Su-lan of “Business Next” stated, “AI is not only the core force driving digital transformation but also the key to leading and reshaping future business models. We hope that this year’s AI TAIWAN Future Business Expo can become a catalyst for industry cooperation, promote technological exchanges, accelerate innovative applications, and create more possibilities for the future.”

Leading AI pioneers were also invited to provide unique insights and perspectives, guiding companies in a concrete and powerful way, offering the most practical and high-value AI solutions.
