Cathay United Bank’s CUBE Card Reveals Fourth Quarter 2024 Benefits Program!
Recognizing the high participation rate in the third quarter LINE Pay coupon activity, in addition to the existing five major benefits programs (Digital Play, Fun Travel, Enjoy Shopping, Collection Selection, Birthday Celebration), Cathay United Bank announced on September 23rd the introduction of a new sixth benefit, “Payment Comes”.
CUBE Card Benefits Summary:
Cathay United Bank stated that “Payment Comes” is a brand new benefit program introduced specifically for LINE Pay consumption rewards with the CUBE Card. Cardholders who bind their CUBE Card with any of the three major international mobile payment services (Apple Pay/Google Pay/Samsung Pay) can switch to the “Payment Comes” benefits program. Using LINE Pay for consumption will earn 2% Tree Points (credit card) rewards with no limit.
Expanding Reward Channels:
While adding more reward channels, benefits such as Digital Play, Fun Travel, Enjoy Shopping, Collection Selection, etc. continue to expand their channels, and cardholders can enjoy rewards of up to 2% to 3.3% with no limit.
Upgrade of Enjoy Shopping and Fun Travel Benefits:
Entering the peak travel season at the end of the year, the CUBE Card targets the demand for travel expenses. In the fourth quarter, the “Fun Travel” benefit program selects the top 20 popular airlines, three designated global hotel chains, major hotel booking platforms, and domestic travel agencies as channels. Physical consumption overseas (including foreign dining and on-site payment for accommodations) is not limited to specific countries.
In addition, designated Japanese amusement parks (including official website ticket reservations), Apple Wallet transportation card top-ups (SUICA/PASMO/ICOCA), Uber, Grab, and other diverse travel-related channels can enjoy up to 3.3% Tree Points rewards with no limit.
Upgrade of Enjoy Shopping Benefit:
The “Enjoy Shopping” benefit program focuses on domestic dining, designated department stores, drugstores, and delivery platforms, and for the first time this season, it includes small-amount payment charging restaurants, including breakfast shops, chain beverage stores, and small restaurants.
At the same time, the “McDonald’s” chain fast food restaurant, which belongs to the dining category, has been adjusted from the “Collection Selection” benefit program to the “Enjoy Shopping” benefit program. Food lovers no longer need to think twice; by switching to the “Enjoy Shopping” benefit program, they can easily enjoy food and receive up to 3.3% Tree Points rewards with no limit.
Expanded Collection Selection Channels: Introduction of Japanese Supermarket LOPIA
The “Collection Selection” benefit program continues to cultivate consumer fields such as supermarkets and bulk shopping. Considering the popularity of Japanese cuisine and ingredients among Taiwanese, the highly popular Japanese supermarket LOPIA has been added. Starting from October 1st, as long as cardholders choose the “Collection Selection” benefit program, they can enjoy 2% Tree Points (credit card) rewards on every purchase with no limit.

Starting from February 1, 2024, for installment payments at contracted stores (including early settlement), only the regular 0.3% cashback rewards will apply.
For new applicants of the CUBE Card, completing the following three tasks will earn up to 500 Tree Points cashback rewards:
Task 1: Within 30 days of card approval, make a single transaction of NT$888 or more and successfully apply for electronic billing to earn 200 Tree Points (credit card).
Task 2: Customers who meet the qualifications of Task 1 and apply for a Taiwan dollar account (including digital accounts) and complete automatic payment setup within 30 days will earn 200 Tree Points (credit card).
Task 3: Customers who meet the qualifications of Task 1 and complete a Cathay Securities account direct debit setup will earn 100 Tree Points (credit card).
