Taobao can now use Jiekuo Pay! Taobao’s overseas Taiwan site recently announced its partnership with Jiekuo Pay, officially introducing localized payment services for Taiwanese users, targeting students, and those without credit cards. Users can now choose Jiekuo Pay as their payment method to make the payment process more convenient.
Jiekuo Pay is the only electronic payment platform in Taiwan that directly integrates with 29 major banks. Through this partnership with Taobao, users on the Taobao website no longer need to bind their credit cards. They can make payments through bank accounts or stored value methods, allowing groups such as college students without credit cards to easily shop without paying a 1.5% overseas transaction fee.
Fanny Fan, the General Manager of Jiekuo Pay, pointed out that through the advantages of having a large number of verified users, Jiekuo Pay hopes to enable Taiwanese consumers to use a new payment method for cross-border shopping on Taobao without the need to repeatedly enter payment information or undergo identity verification. In addition to avoiding overseas transaction fees for credit cards, users can also accumulate Jiekuo coins as rewards.
