“Hamster Kombat,” the popular game on the messaging app Telegram, has gained significant popularity among users and has recently become the third fastest application to reach 150 million users in history. Within three months, it has attracted over 200 million players.
Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of Telegram, has also shown strong support for Hamster Kombat and praised it as a pioneer of the mini-applications “new wave” in his own Telegram channel.
Durov mentioned that Hamster Kombat will soon launch tokens on the TON blockchain, showcasing the advantages of blockchain technology to hundreds of millions of people. He even wrote: “A new era is coming and we are witnessing its arrival.”
This hamster-themed game, similar to the well-known “Notcoin,” is primarily based on a click-to-earn coins model. The tokens it is about to airdrop are highly anticipated by the public because they represent the ability to exchange in-game points for cryptocurrencies and convert them into fiat currency on exchanges.
In other words, the monetization moment of the hamster game is approaching.

Details of the Hamster Kombat token issuance:
Regarding token issuance, Hamster Kombat previously stated that it is expected to take place in July, and the foreign media “Decrypt” has also confirmed this news through a TON spokesperson. In addition, several well-known cryptocurrency exchanges, including Gate.io, Bitget, and KuCoin, have announced their support for pre-trading of the Hamster Kombat token, which they refer to as HMSTR.
With Durov himself directly stating in the Telegram channel that the Hamster Kombat token will soon be released, the probability of an airdrop in July appears to be very high.
According to Decrypt’s report, although it is currently unclear how many Hamster Kombat tokens players will be able to obtain, the Hamster Kombat team mentioned in a tweet in early June that their airdrop distribution is not solely based on the number of coins accumulated by players in the game before a certain date.
The post by Hamster Kombat explains that the airdrop will depend on the number of coins generated from users’ hourly earnings (Profit per hour) and other undisclosed activity data, rather than just the number of coins held by players. The team also emphasized on June 18th that the concept of “hourly earnings from hanging up being more important than the existing coin balance.”
Therefore, players need more strategies than just clicking on the screen to earn coins. Reinvesting these coins into upgrades and increasing hourly earnings is the way to obtain more tokens in Hamster Kombat’s airdrop plan.
