Significant Decline in Active Users: The Game’s Popularity Wanes
The once-popular Telegram game “Hamster Kombat” is currently facing challenges with a decrease in user activity and token prices. According to the latest report, the game’s monthly active users have plummeted from 300 million in August to just 41 million, a reduction of 86%. This substantial decline has raised industry concerns about maintaining its user base and its ranking on global gaming platforms.
In addition to the sharp decrease in user numbers, Hamster Kombat’s native cryptocurrency token $HMSTR has also experienced a significant price drop. Since reaching a high of $0.009993 on September 26, the price of $HMSTR has plunged by 76% in just over a month, now standing at only $0.002392. This phenomenon is primarily attributed to reduced game demand and investor skepticism about the token’s viability.
Reasons Behind User Attrition
There may be multiple reasons for the decline in Hamster Kombat’s user base and token value. Firstly, the recent overall poor performance of the gaming and crypto markets may have negatively impacted Hamster Kombat.
Secondly, the failure of Hamster Kombat to deliver on its promises to the community is also a major reason for user attrition. Many players have criticized the game for failing to fulfill its basic commitments, such as delayed airdrop plans and internal conflicts, leading to a daily loss of players. Many users have invested significant time and effort, hoping to achieve sustainable income or a rich gaming experience, but ultimately feel disappointed and even betrayed.
Many within the community have expressed that, despite bringing benefits to the game through their interactions, they do not receive a corresponding rate of return, feeling “exploited” by the developers. This limited reward has had a lasting negative impact on users expecting higher returns.
Furthermore, the game’s airdrop plans have left many players dissatisfied. Reports indicate that most users have only earned single-digit dollar amounts over months of playing. This situation has sparked widespread anger and skepticism about the game’s integrity.
Can Hamster Kombat Make a Comeback?
In the face of user dissatisfaction, Hamster Kombat faces significant challenges in regaining player interest and boosting token value. The team plans to integrate NFTs as in-game assets in the second quarter, expected to be launched this month. However, this announcement has yet to rekindle market interest in the project.
This situation highlights the importance of transparency, fulfilling promises, and recognizing user contributions in the highly competitive crypto gaming industry. As cryptocurrency analyst Mario Nawfal commented, “A lesson for all meme coin enthusiasts: Rise quickly? Cool. But if your project can’t keep them interested, prepare for a free fall.”
Overall, Hamster Kombat needs to take proactive measures to restore player confidence, possibly including improving gameplay, increasing rewards, and enhancing communication with the community. Only then can it regain a foothold in the competitive market.
